The NEA Gallery Shop at 28C Carrier Street is now open! The evening before Tony Levy was busy installing bespoke seats outside NEA - there was also a chance for a 'Sneak Peak' through the window.
Handover time on the first day saw regular Friday morning rostered volunteer artisans, Elaine Murphy (All Things Paper') and Lise Darcy ('Darcy Felt') preparing for handover. and Jarita working in the office. Not long after Cathy Pianta arrived to chat to Simon Ruppert from the Ensign, then, with Annie Longmuir, take over for the afternoon.
On Saturday, De Sales Turner and Sally Wallace were busy talking to people who dropped in about NEA, while John Holschier was installing furniture in the garden area.
It was wonderful to chat to them all and to once again enjoy viewing the creations of returning and new artisans from North East Victoria.
NEA is open at 28C Carrier Street from 10 - 4 Monday to Friday and 10 - 2 Saturdays. The Red Road Cafe will be opening in the very near future.
Dear valued customers, exhibitors and volunteers,
(My apologies to those who receive this twice.)
The NEA Gallery Shop will be closed as of tomorrow, 24th March, until further notice.
This is due to the Government requirement that all non-essential operations close.
TEXTILE ARTISTS with work at NEA are advised to collect their work today or delegate someone with written or email permission to do so. Valerie will be at the shop from 1.30. Please wait outside and respect social distancing.
We will develop a schedule for other artists, who wish to remove their stock, as soon as possible.
Please understand that the management team is working very hard to ensure NEA's future. These are difficult times and circumstances are changing daily.
Feel free to direct enquiries to myself via email: firstname.lastname@example.org
With deep regret,
(on behalf of the management team).
