'Subject/Object/I - Self Mapping through Art'' is one of two free 'Door of Hope' courses offered by NEA in February to creative people with artistic interests and dreams who are keen to develop a work for exhibition and possible sale, Taught by artist Edie Black, 'Subject/Object/I' is being held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5.30 to 7.30 pm starting February 21st for six weeks, with follow up studio time if required. .
'Subject/Object/I' offers the opportunity to explore key questions about how you perceive yourself in relation to the world while being supported to create a unique piece of art for exhibition and possible sale. No genre of art is out of bounds. Possibilities include painting, stenciling, animation, film, projection, sound, jewelry, sculpture and textile work. Participants in 'Subject/Object/I' will exhibit an individual piece of 'felt art' at North East Artisans during the Wall to Wall Street Art Festival in April. Funded by the Tomorrow Today Foundation, this Door of Hope course is free-of-charge (including materials) to individuals 18 years and over residing in the Greater Benalla Rural City.
